Thingvellir Church, Þingvallakirkja in Icelandic, is a small Christian church located in Thingvellir National Park, in Southern Iceland. This park is part of the so-called Iceland’s touristic Golden Circle. In other words, it is one of the most popular tourist routes in the country. As a consequence, the church is visited by thousands of tourists every year.

According to some writtings, the church was built after Iceland accepted Christianity around 1000 CE. King Olaf of Norway sent wood to build it and a bell to adorn its tower.
