Description
El Peine del Viento (transated to English as The Comb of the Wind) is a set of three steel sculptures weighing more than 9 tons each, located where the city ends and the sea begins, where the waves embrace the steep cliffs of Monte Igeldo.
Eduardo Chillida anchored the three sculptures to their rocks so that the wind always combed into La Concha Bay.A place where the sea and the wind beat wildly, whipping the rocks. Where nature and art merge, seeming to be one. And it is that the placement of the sculptures makes it seem that they emerge from the rock itself, as if they were part of it.
